Hi and thanks for visiting my blog!
My name is Ms. Jamie and I live in Hutchinson, MN (about an hour west of Minneapolis/St. Paul). I am the single mom to three incredibly beautiful, driven, talented young ladies. My oldest is 14, is an accomplished dancer and an avid fastpitch softball player. Heaven help me just just started drivers education!
Next I have a 11 year old who is BIG into hockey and softball as well! She loves engineering type tasks and is always creating something. You should see the lego creations she can make! They are amazing.
My baby is 9 and following in her sister’s footsteps, is also a hockey and softball player. We spend many nights a week running to and from games/practices. We are all very big readers and love to spend time camping or on the water with family and friend...when schedules allow ;-) I am beyond blessed to be their mom. We are a very close family and there isn't too much that we don't do together.
I work for United Community Action Partnership's Head Start program, serving low income children(and their families) from birth to age 5. I teach preschool here in town, working with 3-5 year old children preparing them for kindergarten. Each day is fun an exciting challenge working with small children, and I cherish each moment. My favorite thing in the world, is when a child learns to write their name or accomplishes something simple like zipping their coat for the first time. The look of accomplishment on their face burns a lasting image into my heart.
I am currently taking classes through Kendall College in Chicago Illinios in pursuit of my bachelor of arts degree in Early Childhood Education concentrating on Early Childhood Special Education. My hope is to obtain my ECSE licensure in MN someday and work in the local school district.
